Our PC did recognize the wheel when it was connected, but there was no software available to get the wheel working. It's also worth noting that, although the wheel connects to the system via USB, you can't use it to play driving games on your PC. Overall, the design is sturdy but hardly stylish-the faux-dashboard stickers give off a bit of a vibe. That said, thanks to a healthy supply of small rubber grips on the bottom of their base, you don't have to worry about the pedals moving around while you're driving-so long as you place them on a smooth floor surface. This does not affect the gameplay during a race it's simply a bit inefficient, not a dealbreaker. The first item lacking, in my opinion, would be the "front buttons" that the regular controller has these do control some important functions, and I find myself shutting off the wheel and returning to my Xbox controller when I need to access the rest of the me nu (for example: if I am changing the setup of a race). The Wireless Speed Wheel will do nearly everything else to let you place the car precisely on the track and drive rapidly around corners, more smoothly than you ever thought possible with the little thumb-controlled joysticks. To experience a realistic sensation of steering effort you will need to buy a higher-end unit (and pay accordingly). I'm not including the "force feedback" feature, for which you will pay several times as much money. Let's get the quibbles out of the way: there are a couple of things lacking with this wheel.
